This week we catch up with Shana - she's more than a friend, she's family! I managed to get to see her shortly after her trip home to Barbados where she soaked up some of the Caribbean sun (I may have stalked her IG stories of the views of sunsets and the ocean a little bit haha).
She's been busy this summer and has released some soca jams that she wrote - yes, creativity runs in the fam. It was a long time since we had the chance to have a proper catch up with her and it was worth the wait. Continue reading on for her Chronicle!

M-SEW: Where did you grow up?
SHANA: I grew up in beautiful Barbados. Where’s your favourite place to live? Definitely Barbados because that's where all the things I love most are. My ideal living situation would be a nomadic lifestyle where I just live where my spirit guides me for a few months at a time.
What’s your favourite spot in your house/room/space? The bathroom - I love hot showers and water in general. It's where I get my best ideas. What was your favourite book/film/song during lockdown? Koffee - Lockdown. So much vibes. Favourite inspirational quote during lockdown? Just keep swimming - Dory
What new skills did you learn during lockdown? Braiding my own hair. What’s the most surprising thing you learnt about yourself during lockdown? I'm a hot mess, and it's beautiful. How have you changed during lockdown? Tremendously. For a long time I've been trying to get back to a version of myself I was before, but I love who I'm becoming.

Who did you talk to the most during lockdown? My mum <3 What plans did you have that were cancelled thanks to Rona?
Crop Over and Miami Carnival... I don't want to talk about it. I get emotional.
