HOMEWARD
Finding home away from home
In celebration of Black History Month, enjoy our most recent campaign "Homeward" presenting our muse at peace and home amongst nature and with family.
M-SEW's maternal grandparents journeyed from Barbados to London and were a part of the Windrush generation which influenced the narrative of the campaign.
BEHIND THE STORY
This campaign showcases the "SOUND WAVES" collection as a narrative. The concept of those that have relocated from islands and places where they are close to the sea, then to the UK is what lead the direction behind this vision. Especially M-SEW's journey from Bermuda to London, how she has found ways to feel close to home whilst being miles away and M-SEW's maternal grandparents that journeyed from Barbados to London and were a part of the Windrush generation in the 1950's.
"My grandparents on my mum's side travelled from Barbados to London on the Windrush in the 50's. Sometimes I feel as if I'm walking in the steps they laid out for me." Meagan Wellman
